This past August Solstice Team player Danny Kobal from Lehighton, Pa proved that he is not only a outstanding paintball player but also a phenomenal trap shooter as well. Danny, caption of the black cloud trapshooting squad from the Lehigh valley in pa, and his squad competed in the 2009 ATA AIM grand national Championships at the world shooting and recreational complex in
Sparta, IL.
Danny shot 98 on the first day of competition and ran 100 straight on the second day for a score of 198 out of a possible 200. In doing so he led his team to a gold medal in the beretta junior b division. He was in a 7-way tie for 3rd place individual overall and ended the day in 7th place in the country. Danny’s gold medal secured his position on the 2009 All American list.
